Why is the carbon offset cost always the same regardless of what product is in my cart?

Some of our merchant partners choose to use our “fixed rate” mode instead of our dynamically calculated mode. That means that the cost shown at checkout will always be the same for that specific website. 

When a merchant chooses this option, EcoCart estimates the average carbon footprint of our merchants’ orders using the same product and shipment data as our dynamically calculated mode, and recommends an amount such that the order will always be at least carbon neutral.
